My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“Do you want a PITTOPOTAMUS for Christmas, and only a PITTOPOTAMUS will do?...”

Well you're in luck! Here is our decidedly favorite house hippo MAGIC LANTERN PUMPKIN, aka “Punkin’ Pie”. A girlie as sweet as her namesake dessert.

She is one of the twenty-two doggos that made it through an abuse/neglect case. She is letting her sparkle and shine show in a foster home setting. She would do well with a family home more than away and room on the couch for snuggle time. Eager to please, she has already learned “sit” and “outside," responds to her name, and walks nicely on leash. She is around eight years old and weighs about 45 lbs.

*Takes Treats Oh So Gently- CHECK.
* Loves her “walkies” - CHECK.
* Stellar for pedi-pedis with a peanut butter lick mat for a tasty distraction- CHECK. *Hands down best snuggle bug- CHECK.
* Winter sweater fashionista- CHECK.
*People pup- CHECK. Strangers are just friends she hasn’t yet met.
* Delights in car rides- CHECK.

Won't you consider making Punkin' Pie your very own? She promises a lifetime of love and devotion in exchange for the same.

Housetrained - YES

Crate trained - YES

Dogs - SELECTIVE, SLOW INTRODUCTIONS

We also think she could do well with older kiddos and would probably prefer a home without cats or small animals.
