My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, darling! My name is Portia, and I’ve been stealing hearts and batting at string since I was just 2 days old. Now, at the ripe old age of 4 months, I’m ready to make my grand exit from the shelter (with you, of course).
I’m a spunky black and white kitten who knows how to bring the purr and the play. Whether it’s chasing toys, snuggling on your lap, or posing dramatically like the star I am, I’ll keep you entertained and adored. I’m spayed, up to date on vaccines, and my adoption fee is just $90—a small price for the privilege of being my human.
Think you can handle all this personality? Call 256-362-5856 to schedule an appointment. Fair warning: once you meet me, you’ll be smitten. That’s just how I roll!

More about this shelter

We are the Animal Control Facility for the City of Talladega. We provide animal control services for the entire county of Talladega excluding the city limits of Lincoln, Sylacauga, and Childersburg. We work with lots of rescues all over the US and Canada. We do some local adoptions but don't have many people come in locally looking to adopt. A lot of our pets are transferred to our rescue partners. We do accept donations of cleaning supplies, dry cat/kitten, dry dog/puppy food, cat litter, and chew toys. We are also always looking for short term foster homes for our pets going to rescues. Usually it's only for a 2-4 week period before the pet leaves for his/her rescue. If you are interested feel free to contact us at 256-362-5856
