Ace and Rocky (Bonded Pair)

These are literally sweetest dudes in the whole entire world. While they love each other and will literally squeeze themselves into a tiny bed to be together, they also absolutely adore their family. They are the perfect blend of easy going and fabulous companions. Both are good on a leash and crate trained. They are mostly potty trained on a good schedule, but their new family should expect some accidents, espeically Ace.
Rocky (longhair) has the most adorable tail wag when you come in the room. He loves to be where he can see you and thinks that hanging out with you on the couch is the best thing in the world. And he is a super fan of belly rubs. He needs to love at least 4 to 5 pounds so his new family needs to be committed to helping him find his 6 pack abs. If you toss him a toy, he will fetch and bring it back at his own pace. When it’s bedtime, he will find his favorite toy and carries it to bed with him.
Ace (smooth coat) is more playful and LOVES toys especially with squeakers. And if you toss a ball, you will me amazed at how fast this senior boy runs to fetch it – he even brings it back. He’s more on the independent side, but loves attention – even asking for belly rubs and tapping you with his paw if he thinks he didn’t get enough. He gets super excited about going outside and loves to explore in the yard.
They would pretty much be a fit for any family. Got other dogs? They get along fabulous. Got kids – even littles? No issues. Live in an apartment? These guys won’t piss off your neighbors. Work outside the home? No problem – they are happy to spoon with each other until you return.
And we know that you are all wondering – what is the deal with their hair, or rather lack of it. Both guys are dilute skin coloring – Rocky is an Isabella and Ace is a Dillute red – which usually causes alopecia. Sure, it’s possible that some will grow back, but it’s not likely. Whoever adopts them should be totally fine with the bald is beautful look and have plenty of sweaters on hand to keep them warm. Both have had some mild itching while in rescue that has improved with good nutrition, but there new famliy should be OK continuing to manage it in the future.
Ace and Rocky are up to date on shots, heartworm negative, no heart murmers, microchipped, neutered and recently had a dental. Ace has a mildly elevated liver value that is likely age realted to monitor.
Ace and Rocky are fostered in LaGrange NC and there new family will need to drive to adopt them – no transports. We prefer homes in NC, VA,SC, eastern TN, northern GA, WV, DC area and Southern MD.
