Yoshi is a 4yo adopted 2 years ago. He’s loving and devoted to his pack. He loves burrowing in blankets, chasing toys, and cuddling. Yoshi knows commands sit, stay, stand ("uppies"), bedtime, go outside, and shake off (after a bath). He’s quick to respond when called.
We are rehoming Yoshi due to behavioral issues we’ve been unable to fix after 2 years of training and socialization. He gets along with some dogs but can be aggressive when asserting dominance, with no clear triggers. Aggression is occasional and includes baring teeth, rushing, and sometimes biting. He’s cautious with new people and may approach like seeking attention but then growl or nip (no nips since ‘22). Yoshi is good on a leash but can be reactive, especially near other dogs. Once he bonds with you, he can be possessive.
Yoshi needs a calm home where his new family can set boundaries (he thrives with structure). He’s sweet and affectionate and would do best with an introverted owner seeking a loyal cuddle buddy.
