My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, I'm Tia. I'm a sweet soul with a friendly disposition. I'm mellow, yet playful, which makes me the perfect companion. I'm smart too, I've learned to recognize the sound of the treat bag opening! I love to cuddle, there's nothing better than a warm lap to curl up on. I'm not just looking for a home, I'm looking for a forever friend. My personality is a blend of fun and affection. I promise to bring joy to your days with my playful antics and to be there for you when you need a cuddle. Adopt me, and let's create a lifetime of memories together.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
