Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Cheyanne! She is a beautiful Husky/Retriever mix. She is not quite a year old yet and about 40 pounds. She is a bundle of energy and snuggles. Cheyanne plays well with other dogs her size and loves children. She is still quite a puppy, so children 8 years and older are preferred. Cheyanne is learning and practicing her manners everyday. She is treat motivated and eager to please and is looking for an active family dedicated to helping her continue to learn and thrive. She loves to play with stuffed animals, squeaky toys and chew her nylabones. She is crate/house trained, spayed, up to date on all vaccinations and microchipped. She's also been given monthly heartworm/flea prevention. If you would like to meet this adorable girl and make her part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ Cheyanne is located in Decatur, Alabama with transport available to some areas.
Friends of Rescue requires a virtual home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. All Friends of Rescue animals are indoor family members.

We have many wonderful dogs looking for homes! Our dogs are mainly fostered in one of our many experienced foster homes. All of our animals receive rabies vaccine, distemper/parvo vaccine, bordatella, microchip, and spay/neuter, as well as being kept current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. All of our dogs come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $450 covers their complete age appropriate vetting, as well as transportation to your area.
Our rescue doesn't have an actual facility in the New England area. Due to this it is not possible to meet them prior to their adoption. Our dogs are brought up to their new owners weekly! Our transport service is certified through the USDA. We have a 14 day no questions asked money back guarantee and the dog can be returned to us if things do not work out. We try hard to make good matches with our animals and their adopters so that everyone has a happy life together! Our foster homes love the animals in their homes and will fully disclose everything about them – some can even Skype or send videos for you to see them in action.
We can provide references from other rescues, previous New England adopters, and our veterinarians if requested.
Go to www.FORrescue.net and click on "Adoption" and then "Applications" to apply for the animal you are interested in adopting.
Please email us at info@FORrescue.net with any questions you might have about FOR or our adoption process.

More about this rescue
Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization formed in 2009, consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter animals that are in danger of euthanasia. Southern shelters have a constant overflow of dogs and cats, little funding, and limited space. Once the animals arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable animals and find loving individuals/families who will provide committed, FORever homes. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these animals from euthanasia. Each animal in our program is in a foster home and receives all age-appropriate vetting while in our care.
