My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A23753 Ghost is a black colored, approximately 8-month-old, 65-pound, neutered male, German Shepherd.
He entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 11-16-2024 due to the fact they he’s an excessive barker and became aggressive towards their kids.
Ghost is a friendly, eager and excited boy here at the shelter. Our staff says he is bouncy and eager to check everything out. He will jump up on you for strong bear hugs and will need additional training in manners. Nothing aggressive here, just puppy excitement. He was easy to leash, pulls in excitement to be out exploring and will need more leash training. He has had some training and will “sit” upon command. He barks at and is curious about other dogs here at the shelter. He’s still a puppy and seems to wants to play. The previous owner says he is house broken and has lived with children but not dogs or cats. They did say became aggressive towards kids, some of that may be attributed to lack of attention and training. He’s a big cuddle bug with us and seems more puppy excited than aggressive, which could easily scare kids. But, because of their statement we would recommend an adult only home. Ghost will be a fun-loving family member in his new forever home.
