A23500 Matthew is a grey colored, approximately 9-month-old, 7-pound, neutered male, Domestic Long-Haired cat.
He entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 11-08-2024 due to the fact the owner cannot afford to have a pet.
Matthew is a friendly, timid and shy boy here at the shelter. Our staff says he is sweet and friendly, he is just trying to figure out the shelter environment. He needs a little time to adjust to new surroundings. He will need a patient owner who will give him time to get comfortable. When he explored the playroom, he went to a safe cubby to watch the room from. Once comfortable he came over and curled up in our lap for love and affection. Matthew will be a loving companion in his new forever home.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
