Hi there, I'm Scout! I'm just a little guy, but I've got a big heart and lots of love to give. I'm sweet as sugar and brave as a lion. I love playing, exploring, and making new friends. I'm always ready for a new adventure, whether it's chasing a ball or learning a new trick. Life's thrown me a few curveballs, I was dumped in the bushes at the shelter, but I always keep my tail wagging. I've got a lot of spirit and I never give up. I'm looking for a forever home where I can share all my love and enthusiasm. Adopting me means gaining a loyal friend who will always be there to cheer you up and make your days brighter. I promise to be the best dog you've ever had. Let's make some beautiful memories together!

The Stone County SPCA was organized in 2009 and opened a shelter in 2012 in Wiggins, MS. We have always been a no kill shelter. Our biggest challenge is the high demand to place dogs and cats in our shelter. Currently, we take in approximately 1200 animals annually. We do not euthanize animals for lack of space. We have a live release rate of 95%. We do this by keeping adoption fees low and transporting a large percentage of our animals (65% of our dogs and puppies).
