Meet Brenda!
Brenda is a shy little girl who needs some time and space to warm up to new people. She has a good understanding of consent and will let you know when you're crossing her boundaries. She loves meeting people when she's feeling safe and comfortable, and will often jump up to investigate but when she's scared she'd really appreciate not being the center of attention. Brenda would do best in an adult only home, she has no experience with dogs or cats and wouldn't mind trying it out to see how things go.

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to submit an adopter profile through our website. We then encourage you to visit PARL at 34 Elbow Street and get to know the animals we have available. You do not need an appointment, and we invite you to visit us often. PARL’s goal is to assist you in finding your best match for a lifelong companion.

When you arrive, you’ll sign PARL’s visitor log, and staff will direct you to PARL’s cat rooms, small animal spaces, or dog kennels (depending on your preference.) We encourage you to spend time outside with the dogs, or petting our cats and small animals. Please ask questions -- that's why we're here.

If you don't find what you are looking for the first time, please come see us again! Chances are that we will have some new furry friends available for adoption, and one of them might be purr-fect for you!
