Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Where did Cotton Eye Joe come from? We don’t know, but we sure know where he’s headed — straight into your heart! This lovable fella’s been through a lot, and after his family was evicted, he’s found himself in the shelter, looking for a place to settle down.
With some fur missing from a flea allergy, Joe's been treated and is ready for a fresh start. He’s a little nervous at first, but once he trusts you, he’ll be all about the snuggles and affection.
He’s lived with other dogs, so he wouldn’t mind a doggy buddy to share his new home. Joe just wants to be pampered, loved, and treated right. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and a bit of a country soul, come meet Cotton Eye Joe—he’s ready to be your best friend!
*Reminder* We are currently facilitating adoptions through appointment only. If you arrive at the shelter without an appointment to meet a dog, we may not be able to assist you.
Please call the shelter (516-869-6311) during working hours (Mon. to Fri. 9AM-4PM; Sat. 10AM-4PM) for more information about this dog, the adoption process at the shelter, and to confirm availability.
