My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LILLY
Hi everyone!! My name is Lilly, I am about a 1 year old and weigh approximately 47 lbs.

All about me...
I am one happy-go-lucky girl!! I love everyone I meet and am on the laid back side. I am house-broken and crate-trained and am just the perfect girl. I get so happy my little Shar Pei face gets all scrunched up and I wiggle my whole body, its the cutest thing my foster mom says! I walk well on a leash and am learning sit.

I NEED YOUR HELP
I am one lucky girl as I was rescued from the pound before my time was up, you see I was limping on my back leg and wouldn't be able to get a chance to get adopted. A wonderful lady at the shelter contacted ResQ 4 Paws to see if they could help save me. When they came to meet me they saw how sweet and deserving I was of a second chance so they rescued me and got me into the vet for a check-up to see what was going on with my leg. The vet discovered I have a rutpured cruciate ligament and torn meniscus and I will need surgery to repair it. I also have two small breaks in my pelvis!! Once I get all fixed up from my surgery I will be good as new! There is where I REALLY need your help - my surgery will cost roughly $780-$820 so we are trying to get sponsors and raise money to get my surgery done. Wont you please help me get better?? Your tax-deductible donation can be sent directly to ResQ 4 Paws or to our vets office: Pytel Veterinary Clinic, 7485 South State Road P.O. Box 65. Goodrich, MI 48438 (please use both the address and po box ) put in the memo "Lilly- ResQ 4 Paws". You can also visit my page at Orthodogs Silver Lining Foundation - they are my new friends who are trying to raise funds for my surgery at http://www.oslf.org/petsneed.htm. Once I get my surgery done and recouperated for about 6-8 weeks I will be ready to go home to a loving forever family - I can't wait!! UPDATE: 4/25/06 I have completed my surgery today and am now in recovery. It was also discovered that I have 2 small breaks in my pelvis which are starting to heal up as well with the crate-resting. 5/5/06: Went for a bandage change today and Dr. Pytel said everything is looking good. Its only been one week of the crate rest/recovery and I am already tired of it! But my foster mom gives me some treats and bones to chew on so I guess it's not so bad, only 6 more weeks to go!

Are you the right family for me?
I need a family that is going to love me forever and take me for long walks. I love everyone I meet and would be a great addition to a fun-loving family. We don't have young children here where I live but have met the neighboorhood children and just love them so my foster mom thinks I would do well with children of all ages. I am a happy, confident, loving and smart girl.

How I feel about other furry creatures:
I love all my foster brothers and sisters, the dog kind and the kitties too. I just love everyone and love to lay on the back porch and sun myself.
