My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Porcupine is a kid-approved superstar who’s been thoroughly "tested" by a spirited 3-year-old and 6-year-old. He’s got endless patience and a heart full of love, making him the ultimate family companion. He’s also a total champ with other cats and, while he hasn’t met any dogs yet, he’s the kind of easygoing adventurer who’s likely to adapt.

This little attention hog is all about making friends. From the moment he arrived, Porcupine was ready to charm the whole family—even strangers get the VIP treatment! He loves pets and lap time, and while he might play it cool by hiding for a second, he quickly comes out to play and soak up all the love.

Porcupine’s true passion? Exploring! Whether he’s climbing up furniture, darting across the room, or finding the perfect perch, he’s always on a mission to discover new heights. Add in his playful streak with feather toys, tunnels, and his siblings, and you’ve got a non-stop bundle of joy.

He’d thrive in a home with another playful kitten or young cat, though he would love a home with kids, kids aren’t a must-have—he’s flexible like that. Just make sure he gets plenty of attention (he lives for it). Porcupine is also a perfect gentleman: no litter box accidents, no scratching, no nipping, and he doesn’t even blink at the chaos of kids running, jumping, and shouting during playtime.

If you’re looking for a curious, adventurous, and ridiculously affectionate companion who will keep you laughing and loving, Porcupine is ready to climb right into your heart!

Adopting from HEA

FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS:
Adoption is a huge deal to us. We make a lifetime guarantee to our companions. In return, we’re asking you to provide a lifetime commitment once you’ve invited a pet to join your family. We’re excited that you're considering adoption. We look forward to working with you to find the right match!

TIMELINE:
Our primary objective is to assure the correct match for the people and the pets that we’re sending to their forever homes. Our goal is to send dogs and cats home as quickly as we can, while still being thorough. Processing times will vary and are largely dependent on our ability to connect with your references, landlord, and veterinarian. To keep the process moving along, please make sure you’ve done your part:
1) Fill out your application completely - missing information slows down the process.
2) Let your references know to expect our call.
3) If you rent, let your landlord know to expect our call.
4) If you currently have pets, ask your veterinarian to be prepared to release your records.

LIFETIME GUARANTEE:
We make a pact with every animal that enters our care: They’re promised a loving home for the rest of their life. In turn, when you make the commitment to adopt, we ask you to make a lifetime commitment. We believe family is forever.
