My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Moose is a total champ with kids—seriously, he’s been put to the test by a (very enthusiastic) 3-year-old and a 6-year-old. He’s got patience for days! He's great with other cats and hasn’t met dogs yet, but he’s the adaptable type who’s likely to adjust just fine.

At first, Moose might play the "tough guy" card, hiding when new people visit. But don’t be fooled—within a few days, he’ll be running out to join the fun and demand all the love. He’s a total lap magnet, ready to soak up pets and cuddles whenever you’re available.

When he’s not melting in your lap, Moose is the definition of playful. Wrestling with his brothers? Check. Pouncing on toy mice with feathers? Double-check. He’s a pro with balls that jingle, tunnels, and especially the three-tiered ball chase toy. Oh, and he’s been known to take over the toy camper during playtime with the kids—an adventurous kitty, for sure!

After all that play, he’s all about a cozy nap (probably dreaming of his next wrestling match). Moose thrives with other playful kitties and would love a home with a fellow young cat or kitten. While kids aren’t a must-have, he’s absolutely proven his skills as a patient and loving companion for tiny humans.

Moose is also a purr-fect gentleman: no litter box accidents, no scratching, and no nipping—even when the kids get a little rowdy. He goes wild for squishy tube treats and can’t resist the sound of a treat bag being shaken.

If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and all-around lovable companion, Moose is ready to bring the fun (and the snuggles) to your home!

Adopting from HEA

FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS:
Adoption is a huge deal to us. We make a lifetime guarantee to our companions. In return, we’re asking you to provide a lifetime commitment once you’ve invited a pet to join your family. We’re excited that you're considering adoption. We look forward to working with you to find the right match!

TIMELINE:
Our primary objective is to assure the correct match for the people and the pets that we’re sending to their forever homes. Our goal is to send dogs and cats home as quickly as we can, while still being thorough. Processing times will vary and are largely dependent on our ability to connect with your references, landlord, and veterinarian. To keep the process moving along, please make sure you’ve done your part:
1) Fill out your application completely - missing information slows down the process.
2) Let your references know to expect our call.
3) If you rent, let your landlord know to expect our call.
4) If you currently have pets, ask your veterinarian to be prepared to release your records.

LIFETIME GUARANTEE:
We make a pact with every animal that enters our care: They’re promised a loving home for the rest of their life. In turn, when you make the commitment to adopt, we ask you to make a lifetime commitment. We believe family is forever.
