Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sage! Sage is a 9 mo. old mix breed weighing 42 lbs. who has a very silly and sweet personality. Based on DNA results from her sibling, she is 44% pit bull terrier 56% mutt.
Sage is house, crate and dog-door trained. She goes in her crate willingly when her Foster Parents leave but has never been crated for more than 4 hours without a potty break. She prefers to sleep in her humans bed or on her dog bed at night. She also walks good on a leash and rides well in a car.
She gets along well with other dogs and is okay around the cat but still gets a bit excited by the cat. It is unknown how she is around children or babies.
Sage is mostly mellow but excitable when it's playtime. She enjoys spending most of the day playing with her toys, chewing sticks in the yard and sunbathing.
Being a puppy, she does require things to chew such as bully sticks or chomp chews as she will chew shoes and socks if left out, which evolves into a fun game of keep away.
Sage is well behaved but would benefit from more training and an adopter who will devote time for regular walks, enrichment playtime and a secured yard. Check out United Animal Friends Dog Training Program. Level One Training consists of three one-hour classes for $30. Register at: www.meetup.com/unitedanimalfriends/
Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard.
If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home.
HOW TO APPLY: From Petfinder.com The fastest way to get to the adoptable dog page is to copy and then paste this link into your browser: https://unitedanimalfriends.org/adoptable-dogs/
When you are on the UAF website Select "Adoptable Dogs" and pick the dog you are interested in. To apply to adopt, go into the dog's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started.
You could be a life saver!
