Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Alexander, or "Alex" as he likes to be called. A shy boy who needs a little extra time to feel comfortable in new environments. Alex is looking for a quiet home with a patient, experienced owner who understands that trust takes time. While Alex can be a bit wary of new faces, he’s incredibly polite, loyal, and affectionate once he’s had the chance to bond.
Alex tends to warm up more quickly to women, though he does have a select few male staff that he’s grown comfortable with. If you’re patient enough to let him approach you on his terms—perhaps with a few tasty treats along the way—you’ll discover that Alex is truly the shy boy, full of love and sweetness.
Alex will thrive in calm, low-traffic environments. A home without too many visitors or loud noises would suit him best, as he’s most at ease in a peaceful setting. He does well with other dogs, so if you have another dog at home, Alex may just become their new best friend!
We are unsure how Alex does with cat friends.
Alex tolerates car rides— especially when there’s a result of a pup cup!
Alex can become anxious in confined spaces or rooms, sometimes pacing when he’s feeling overwhelmed. However, giving him access to a window where he can survey his surroundings tends to help soothe his anxiety.
If you’re an experienced dog owner who’s ready to offer Alex the time, patience, and space he needs, he’ll repay you with loyalty, affection, and a bond like no other. He may take a little while to warm up, but once he does, you'll have a devoted life companion.
