Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello there! My name is Kiwi, and I’m a 2-year-old Bloodhound mix with a sweet, gentle nature and a love for play. I’m the perfect mix of affectionate and playful, and I’ve got a beautiful brown coat to go with my big, soulful eyes. While I might be a bit shy when I first meet new people, I warm up quickly and can’t resist a gentle hand and a kind word. Once I’m comfortable, you’ll see how affectionate and loving I truly am.
I’m smart as a whip and already know some basic commands—sit, stay, and come are a few of my favorites. I’m also a huge fan of playing fetch, especially with balls. If you’re looking for a dog who can keep you entertained and loves a good game, I’m your girl! My curious hound nose loves exploring new scents, so I’d be thrilled to join you for walks or outdoor adventures where I can put my nose to good use.
While I’m active and playful, I’m also very loyal and love being close to my people. I’ll happily settle down for a cuddle after a fun day of play, and I’m eager to bond with a family who appreciates both my fun side and my affectionate nature. If you’re looking for a sweet, intelligent companion who’ll quickly become your best friend, I might just be the dog for you!
Kiwi should do well in a home with children of all ages.
We are not sure how Kiwi would do in a home with cat friends.
Kiwi should do great in a home with other dogs given a proper introduction.
Kiwi did wonderful on her first Doggy Day Out with volunteers. She got to go on walks, play fetch, and nap on the couch. She even got eggs for breakfast! She was described as smart, affectionate, sweet, approachable and gentle.
