My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm Penny Lane.

I am a sweet brown tabby female with orange spots.

I am loving and playful.

"Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes
There beneath the blue suburban skies
I sit and meanwhile back
Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes
There beneath the blue suburban skies
Penny Lane"

This Penny Lane wants to be in your heart and home.

More about this rescue

The Hancock County Humane Society is a no-kill*, non-profit animal shelter. (We are not affiliated with, nor do we receive financial support from, the Humane Society of the United States.) This organization has been in existence for many years and has always been staffed entirely by volunteers and funded entirely on donations from the local community. It is our goal to find permanent safe and loving homes for the pets in our care. We would also like to promote community education and awareness, including the importance of early spay/neuter of a pet and the importance of a pet wearing I.D.

*No-kill meaning healthy pets with good temperaments are kept until adopted no matter how many years it may take. We diligently attempt to treat unhealthy pets whenever possible.
