Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Twain will melt your heart with his fiery orange coat and warm purrs. He excels at setting up the perfect sneak attack on any unsuspecting toy or sibling. He’s a fierce toy mouse predator - growling at his littermates to keep them from taking his prize toy.
Twain was initially quite timid when he started foster care but has become more and more outgoing over time. He still gets nervous when in new situations so when he moves to a new home, he will need some time to adjust before his fabulous personality shines through. He has much love to share and would be happiest in a calm/quiet home where he has a kitty companion close to his age. If you are considering adopting a pair, Twain would be delighted to share a home with one of his brothers, Tito or Thierry or his sister, Twinkle.
Twain has a small cloudy spot on the cornea of his right eye. There is some visual obstruction in that eye but overall, it does not affect his ability to navigate. He occasionally squints or has tearing in that eye. No medication is required.
Come meet Twain and discover the joy this goofy little ball of fun can bring into your life!

More about this rescue
Purr Partners Feline Rescue is a 501(c)(3), no-kill, foster-based, all-volunteer organization dedicated to saving the lives of cats and kittens in Central North Carolina — incorporated in 2009 by two friends, four cats, and no budget. These two women realized the need for a "cat only" rescue that worked with rural shelters — where cats routinely lose their lives. Purr Partners was founded to save the lives of those most in jeopardy with little hope of survival. High-kill rural shelters became the focus for Purr Partners, and that is still true today. From those humble beginnings, the rescue has grown to over a hundred active volunteers and a budget of approximately $175,000. At any given time there are between 100 and 150 cats and kittens in foster care. We have saved the lives of over 3500 cats and are still growing!
