Meet Johnny!
Johnny is a sweet little bulldog mix boy, who came to us in very rough shape. Poor Johnny entered the shelter system underweight with a terrible case of demodex mange and quickly developed pneumonia. Once he came into our care he went straight to our vet to start treatments to hopefully get him on the road to recovery. Johnny has been doing wonderful and now that he is feeling better we are starting to see his personality come out. He is a loving boy who does well with other dogs, is very food motivated and has discovered how cool toys are! We are unsure how old Johnny is but believe he is somewhere around a year old, although he acts like a much younger puppy. Johnny looks like a boxer but is a small guy at 32 pounds. He may fill out a little but we don't think he will get much larger. Johnny's ideal home would be a family who has the time to dedicate to potty training, crate training, socialization and obedience training. Johnny would love another balanced canine sibling in the home, preferably a female or older male. Johnny is still recovering from his demodex mange ( not contagious) and requires medicated baths weekly and staying up to date on Bravecto, which we will support for the next couple months for him. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on Instagram (@nwdogproject) for updates! If you would like to be considered as Johnny's forever home, be sure to submit an adoption application on our website!
