My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jasper is being fostered in Waterford, MI.

Hello potential Adopters! Meet your lucky talisman, Jasper! Jasper is a stone associated with strength, protection, and grounding energy. Our handsome boy will offer you that and more!  Jasper is a Blue Merle standard with a bob tail. He was born 3.20.2021 so he is a young boy at 3 years old. He weighs about 55 lbs. He came into foster after his previous family had to relocate outside the US.

Jasper is a smart boy and is always learning new things in his foster home. He is crate trained, and house trained. He knows some basic commands such as: sit, stay, come or here (recall), wait, and down. He is very food and reward motivated which makes training easy and fun. He also loves petting and praise as rewards!

Jasper lives with both male and female dogs in his foster home and does well with them. It did take a couple weeks for him to fully adjust, so any interactions with new dogs should be done at his pace.  He would love a fenced yard where he can run and play especially with you! He loves tug-of-war and a game of fetch!

Jasper bonds quickly and does good meeting new people with proper introductions. He has a big goofy personality and speaks "Chewbacca" fluently to get your attention. With his big goofy personality and enthusiasm a home with adults or older children (10 & up) would be ideal.  Jasper would love a home where he can hypnotize you with his big brown eyes, give you all his love, give lots of kisses, snuggle in your lap and be a part of your family forever!

Does this charming, handsome boy sound like your kind of companion? Are you ready to learn more about him or meet him in person?  Click Adopt under the picture and fill out an application today!  We can' t wait to chat with you about Jasper!

Jasper is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, negative for heartowrm, microchipped and receiving monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworms.  Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.  For more information on our adoption process or to complete an adoption application, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org.

NOTE:  All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in.  Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.  We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.  MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org

Additional adoption info

Meeting any dog within MASR requires an approved adoption application on file. We process as quickly as possible via volunteers. Then connect an applicant one at a time with a dog and foster home to arrange a meet and greet. If all parties at the meet and greet, including the dog, are in agreement that it is a good fit, the dog goes home that day.
