Rockefeller, affectionately known as Rock or Rocky, is a gentle and loving puppy who adores cuddles and kisses. His wrinkly coat and floppy ears add to his huggable charm, and despite his worried look, he’s a confident and playful boy. Totally treat-motivated, he’d never turn down a cookie, but also loves dog-safe fruits and veggies, too! His favorite being watermelon. Just like his brother, Metro (who is also up for adoption – hint, hint, wink, wink), Rockefeller can’t get enough of his stuffed animals.

Rockefeller gets along with all walks of life. He absolutely adores children and playing with them. He’s intuitive and matches his play style with his audience and isn’t startled by noisy kids. He has shown zero interest in the neighborhood cats, so cohabitation should be fine. Rocky loves running and playing with other dogs, and he never meets a stranger. He isn't afraid of unknown dogs; he’ll simply stand still while on a leash and curiously watch them before continuing on his way.

Rockefeller has been rocking it in the training department. He is crate-trained but is so well behaved he was awarded furniture privileges where he happily chomps on his stuffies. Almost fully house-trained, close monitoring is needed during the new transition but as long as a consistent outside routine is established, he should be accident-free in no time.

Rockefeller is a super-adorable chivalrous dog that will bring endless smiles to a very lucky family!

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
