My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jellybean’s mom and dad were rescued last year after being dumped in a neighborhood in Oviedo. Shortly thereafter Jellybean and her siblings were born. As this was right before Easter the babies all received Easter-themed names.

Jellybean enjoys the company of her humans and loves to receive attention! She is a rabbit of unique loveliness - her beautiful white ears (one up, one down) are a fetching contrast to her fluffy brown mane. She is also a creative soul with an interest in interior design. She is extremely good with her litterbox; however, she likes to push the hay around in the box to get it just right. She will sometimes tug on her pen and try to move it around when no one is paying attention to her - or perhaps the angles of the pen are not pleasing to to her sense of symmetry. Occasionally she will tip her water bowl over, so a heavy ceramic bowl is best for her, or a bowl (not a bottle) that attaches to the side of the pen. Jellybean is a friendly and vivacious bun who will thrive in a home where her humans will be around a lot to shower her with love and attention.

We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions, or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/55856/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don’t see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!

Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, a pair is $170, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.

Additional adoption info

For those that want to bond a new rabbit with an existing rabbit, we conduct bonding events where the home rabbit can meet several rabbits to find a potential match. We work with the adopting family to help ensure that the rabbits bond. We take back the adoptive rabbit if there is not a match.

Our adoption agreement specifies that we will take any adopted rabbit back, should the home situation change in the future.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster-based rescue where our available animals are kept in private homes.

You can see our rabbits online, then make an appointment to meet the rabbit(s) you select.

From time-to-time, we conduct adoption events where you can meet multiple rabbits. Because of RHDV2, these events have been paused.

More about this rescue

We are a rescue and educational group dedicated to the health, care and enjoyment of house rabbits. We believe that pet rabbits are family members and should be housed indoors, should be fed a healthy diet, should be spayed or neutered, and should receive quality medical care. Our organization strives to provide bunny parents with information to help them care for their rabbit.
