My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Phil, formally known as Phil Collins, is the older of two loving boys who came from the same past and who`ve bonded together through their experiences. While sometimes shy at first, it only takes Phil a few moments for his confidence and explorative nature to show. He`ll easily climb on your lap and ask for cuddles and kisses, and he loves to check out any new surroundings.

Phil is the more confident of the pair and shows Tarzan that new things are interesting and fun to explore! Both boys have benefitted from a foster home where they are learning how to `dog`, are both almost completely potty-trained and are doing well with crate-training overnight. These sweeties are also gentlemen for grooming and vet visits and never put up a fuss.

Both Phil and Tarzan are sweet, affectionate, and great with people and other dogs. They’re hoping to find a loving home where they can stay together and share their unique blend of calm companionship and goofy antics.

Please note:
- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.
- Applications can be downloaded from our website. (http://neenahanimalshelter.org/how-to-adopt.html)
- Our shelter has open visiting hours for cats, however pre-approved application are needed prior to an adoption. Appointments may be scheduled with an approved application as well, otherwise we may not be able to accommodate same day adoptions.
- Approved applications are required prior to meeting any of our dogs. **Kittens are required to be adopted in pairs, unless there already is a cat in the home. If the cat in the home is 10 years or older, this two-kitten policy will apply.

More about this shelter

For more than 50 years the Neenah Animal Shelter has been there for all kinds of animals in all conditions. When they have nowhere else to go, they can come to us, and we will help them find a new start in life--another chance to be loved.

In 1958 we opened our doors to take in the first of these heartwarming creatures. Since then thousands of animals--from street smart cats and white-faced retrievers to newborn kittens and bouncing pups--have come through our doors needing food, warmth, medicine and a forever home.

Please continue to support our shelter through adoptions and donations. With your help we can be there for the loving, trusting animals that depend on us for years to come.
