My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi!  My name is Cole and I am looking for a forever home.  My previous owners fell on hard times and could not afford to take care of me so asked a small rescue to take me; they contacted BCAA to see if they could help me and they said yes!  I am a solid black lab pup (thus my name Cole/coal, get it?! :)   I am about 13wo old and already a little over 25lbs so I am expected to be a big boy once I'm full grown.  My foster mom says I'm one of the smartest and calmest puppies she's ever had as I seem to listen to everything she tells me.  I get along with all of the other puppies and dogs I have met and love getting attention from anyone willing to give it to me.  I am a typical puppy in that I will need continued training and socialization to become the bestest dog when I'm full grown so if you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.

Submit Application

Submitting an application is always our first step - it's free to apply! bcaaofnj.org

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.

More about this rescue

We are the Burlington County Animal Alliance (BCAA)located in Central New Jersey. We are a non-profit organization 501(3)(c), all volunteer rescue that saves animals from our local shelter and surrounding areas of New Jersey that are in danger of being euthanized. We take them into our program, get them the necessary medical care they need and adopt them back out to loving forever homes. We have 60 volunteers, many that open their homes to foster the homeless animals, we do fundraisers to raise money so we can continue to save the dogs and cats in need. We run strictly on donations from our adoptions and people who support our work.BCAA adopts to families in New Jersey, parts of Southeastern Pennsylvania and parts of New York.
