EMMY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Emmy      Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd/Elkhound mix

Best Guess for Age:   1.5 years      Gender: Female

Approximate Weight:  36 lbs

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested

Currently Living At: SC Rescue Campus

Emmy is Looking For: Her forever family! She's eager to start a new chapter, with her own humans - shepherds can be quite the velcro dogs and they cherish that bond with their people. Long sniffy walks, trips to the beach or the mountains or Starbucks or just around town - it doesn't matter, Emmy just wants to be with you!

Quality kibble, a cushy dog bed, mental enrichment through training are all on her wish list too but again - right at the top is knowing who her people are, knowing she's safe and loved and under her own roof. What her humans get out of it is a loving, loyal dog who will be by their sides for all her days.

What do you say? Is Emmy the one for you?

And you know what? LOOK at her. You're gonna be making new people pals along the way too - you're gonna be asked what breeds she is so many times. 'Shepherd and elkhound' is just a guess. Get a DNA test done and hold a reveal party!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Go meet their pets

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
