My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Clifton or "smudge" as we call him because of the cute grey patch on the top of his head, is just adorable. He takes his playtime very seriously and can play with a stick toy for hours! He can be a little shy at first but has already come so far in his foster home. He will immediately start purring when you pet him and loves to just sit and take in his surroundings. He's playful and curious and is ready to find his forever family!

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
