My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zeus is 1 of a liter of 11 puppies taken in by Camp Barry. Each puppies has their own distinctive markings. Zeus may have some Mastiff breed mixed in, he will be a big dog and has big paws to fill in.
Zeus has been in training, this is what he knows so far, crate training (waits when the door is opened, and not to rush out) this will be helpful with threshold training, leash walk, basic commands of sit, stay, down. He will follow his human (will still need recall training). He has been in a play group of dogs of all sizes and does great. The older dogs help teach them boundaries during play time.
Now would be the perfect time to adopt him, finish training & bond.
Zeus will make a wonderful family dog.

Go meet their pets

You can meet our dogs & puppies at our rescue located at
1681 Parkway Dr. Crescent City, Ca.
Please give us a call or text at (707) 457-2511 to let us know you are coming and which dog or puppy you are interested in. We have volunteers come and take some of them out for a day trip about town or to the beaches, to keep them socialized and happy. We want to make sure the dog/puppy you want to meet, is here for you.
We have adoption events we attend or host during the year so please check our Facebook page "Camp Barry"

More about this rescue

Camp Barry is an all volunteer based 501(c)(3) non profit located in Crescent City, California.

We specialize in taking litters of unwanted, neglected and abandoned puppies. We have also pulled older medical dogs and puppies from our local pound, we have provided a safe space for dogs to stay and decompress until they can be transferred to another rescue and if we have space available we do take owner surrenders.

To us it doesn't matter where they come from or how long they will spend with us, all we know is they need and deserve a safe, loving and nurturing environment until they can find a forever home
We work with and begin training with every dog & puppy while at our rescue. This gives them a good start to a new life.

Camp Barry has saved hundreds of dogs and puppies since we began our mission in January 2018!

We work on social skills, positive reinforcement, potty training and show them what it is like to live in a home with a family. We try to set each pup up for success and teach them skills that they can take with them when they are adopted into their forever families.
