About Me

Hi there! I'm Cannoli, and I'm just a little pup with a whole lot of love to give! At only 4 months old, I found myself wandering the streets of Chicago before ending up at Chicago Animal Care and Control. But don't worry – my story gets better! The amazing folks at C.A.R.E. saw something special in me (maybe it was my adorable underbite?) and brought me to their rescue to find my forever home.

Let me tell you a bit about myself: I'm a certified lap dog in training, and I think the best place in the world is snuggled up with my favorite humans. I'm still learning about this big world around me – like how to walk nicely on a leash and that the outdoors isn't so scary after all. I take my treats like the gentle-pup I am, and I'm even a perfect passenger during car rides!Some people say I'm like a blank canvas, ready to learn and grow into the amazing dog I'm meant to be. With a little patience, love, and training, I'll be your perfect companion. Could you be the one to give me my second chance at happiness?

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
