HIKE BUDDY TESTIMONIAL: Jolie did really well on the hike. She was very quiet and calm throughout the entire car ride. At one point, she actually fell asleep! During the hike she walked very well on her leash and appropriately explored her surroundings. She is very treat-motivated, but takes treats very gently as well. She knows how to sit and patiently wait for a treat. She did well with the other dogs on the hike and really minded her own business. She was an absolute joy to take on a hike and I would love to take her again!

To adopt a pet from the SPCA of Texas, we not only help make love connections, but we then walk you through an adoption process that is geared to ensuring you and the pet are a great match. There is a contract to sign at the end of the process. Adoption fees are as follows:
Puppies 0-6 months: $150
Adult dogs 6 months or older: $75

The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations (which can include Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, Parainfluenza and Bordetella), spay/neuter surgery, deworming treatment, initial heartworm preventative, a rabies tag, Free health examination within fourteen days of the adoption thanks to our partnership with VCA Animal Hospitals, a leash and a microchip. Dogs over 6 months of age are also given a heartworm test (SNAP occult). Free week of training through Good Pup.
