My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.

I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me.

I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles!

My foster writes: If you're searching for the perfect friendly, easygoing, goofy, snuggly companion to welcome into your home, look no further than Gaston! Affectionately nicknamed "Mr. Wiggle Butt," Gaston is a tail-wagging cuddle-master ready to greet you at the door and show off his super cool new toy with silly zoomies and gallops. But don't fret, Gaston is just as happy chilling quietly in his dog bed, splooting on the floor after a long day, and snoring on his back with his paws in the air. This good boy instantly lifts your mood and brightens a room, all while making you laugh and appreciate the little things about dog ownership.
Gaston is wonderful with people, old and new, and he's great on leash. As he walks past benches on the streets, watch out - because if a friendly neighbor wants to greet him, he will jump right up and adorably sit with them on the bench (true story!) He does not generally react to dogs he passes nor small creatures or other usual triggers. He will growl a bit and pull if a dog instigates barking at him, but even a relatively inexperienced walker could guide him away on leash. We provide him with moderate-level exercise each day and he's totally content with that.
Fostering Gaston has been one of the best experiences, and we're so excited to see him join a family that will give Gaston all the love that he deserves (and that he is certainly willing to immediately reciprocate with excitement!). Happy to answer any questions from a potential adopter. :)
