Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Kiya is a 2 to 3yr old spayed female German Shepherd. She currently weighs 72 lbs. She is a touch thin so around 80 lbs would be ideal. Kiya along with her 8 two week old puppies were surrendered to our local shelter. We couldn't let them be in a shelter so we immediately took them into our rescue. Kiya was very thin and had major hair loss. She was covered in fleas and was doing her best to provide for her puppies. She was a great mom and took excellent care of her babies. We treated her skin and gave her the nutrition that she needed. She has filled in her hair nicely and it gets better every day. All of her puppies have now found their perfect forever homes and Kiya has recovered and is ready to find her perfect forever home. Kiya is typical German Shepherd. She bonds quickly with people and loves to be with her family. She has a big heart and will give it to you freely. She deserves a family who will love her as completely as she loves them. She has a moderate energy level and a pleasing temperament. She is fine with other dogs and hasn't bothered my cat. We would prefer older children just because Kiya has been through so much in her short life. She is house trained. She is up to date on shots and wormed. She is already spayed. The adoption fee is $250. If interested in meeting this cutie, please email heritagefarms08@gmail.com or call the foster at 419-779-0862. He is being fostered in Ottawa Lake Michigan. When emailing please include information about you and your family including other pets. Please also include your vet information.

You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt. You may be refused the right of adoption if the consensus of the screeners is that adoption to your home would not be in the animal’s best interest. We reserve the right to check on any adopted animal in the future, and as a final measure, will reclaim the animal if improperly treated or housed, or if false statements were made on the adoption application.
We insist that you have your animal checked by a veterinarian within 3 days of adoption. We do what we can when they arrive into rescue but any and all dogs can harbor illnesses that will not show for up to 7-10 days after being exposed to it. This is not something any shelter, dog pound or rescue can control, you will find this in any enviroment you go to that does not know the past history of an animal.
We can not control the personalty of any animal, as we do not have past history on all the animals that come into our rescue organization. We do our best to temperment the animals and will do our best to fit the animal with a forever home that we feel is best for the animal. We will be available after the adoption if you feel you need help in anyway to correct any issues you may run into in the future with your new family member.
If at anytime in the animal’s lifetime the animal is no longer wanted or if you are unable to keep the animal for any reason you must contact Heritage Farms.
ADOPTION FEES
Please check each pet, as adoption fees vary due to the fact that we have to pay to pull these animals from shelters/pounds/puppymills to save their lives. The adoption fee is noted with every pet listed.
