Who doesn't love a cute bulldog? This sweet girl is all about the snuggles. Though not much of a leash walker, she's a lover of the great outdoors, opting to spread out froggy style on the fresh cut grass or belly up for scratches. AKC characterizes the breed as 'docile, loyal companions', and that seems to fit her to a 't'. Anubis is a bit shy at first, but warms up fast and wants to be right by your side. We suspect she may have had a bumpy start, perhaps with little contact with her people, she is now enjoying some attention and we believe might appreciate a doggie bro or sis. Aunque no le gusta mucho caminar con correa, es una amante del aire libre y opta por extenderse como una rana sobre el pasto recién cortado o boca arriba para rascarse. AKC caracteriza a la raza como 'compañeros dóciles y leales', y eso parece encajar perfectamente con ella. Anubis es un poco tímido al principio, pero se calienta rápidamente y quiere estar a tu lado. We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
