My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mae Mae, a 95-pound Mastiff-German Shepherd mix with a silky coat and soulful, expressive eyes. Mae Mae came to a Philadelphia shelter pregnant, raised 10 healthy puppies (now adopted), and is now spayed and ready for her next chapter.

She is being fostered in Virginia.

In her foster home, Mae Mae has blossomed into a loving, playful companion who enjoys cuddling on the couch and playing with her foster dog sibling. She can be shy around new people and dogs but warms up in a few days with patience and exposure. Mae Mae is crate trained, housebroken, and has learned to use a dog door. She’s calm around loud noises, cooperative during baths and grooming, and travels well in the car.

Mae Mae knows basic commands like “sit” and is working on “down” and recall. While she walks well on a leash, she sometimes needs reminders not to pull. Mae Mae would thrive in a home willing to continue building her confidence and providing the love she deserves. Could Mae Mae be your perfect match?

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

We try to best match our dogs to a home based on the information in your application.

2.

Interview

As we are a national Rescue, adoptions are often not local. We will discuss all aspects of the dog to best ensure you will be a good match.

3.

Home Check

4.

Meet the Pet

Assuming the meeting goes well, you would normally complete the adoption agreement and pay fee at this time.

Additional adoption info

Our primary goal is to match each dog to the best home. Although we try to minimize transport distance, we will arrange transport as needed to anywhere in the U.S.

Go meet their pets

As we are a national rare breed rescue, we do not have regular adoption events. However, occasionally we will be at Pet Expos or other events around the country.
