Hi there, I'm Halt Whistle! I'm a fluffy grey-and-white medium-haired boy, born around 5/08/24. My life started out a bit rough, but thanks to some kind humans, I'm now ready to find a loving forever home. My story begins with a kind Samaritan who was caring for a group of community cats and found me hiding under the hood of her car, and later noticed something was wrong with one of my legs. She got me the help I needed at a local rescue in El Paso, TX and I later transferred to Wild Blue Cats. My front left wrist stays in a flexed position, and according to my doc, it's a developmental condition that affected my ligaments and tendons. When I walk, it doesn't hurt me right now, and I've adapted like a champ! I get around just fine and live my life to the fullest. I'm a social butterfly who absolutely adores people. I'll climb into your lap in no time and snuggle up for as long as you'll let me. I love being held, giving kisses, and just being as close to you as possible. When I'm not soaking up your affection, I enjoy playing with wand toys and getting brushed--both are great ways to spend quality time together! I'm also special because I've tested positive for FeLV (feline leukemia virus). While this means I need a little extra care to keep me healthy, I promise I'll make up for it with my endless love and affection. My condition also means I need to either be the only kitty in the home or live with other FeLV+ cats like me. If you're looking for the sweetest, loving companion, I just might be the kitty for you. I know I've got some unique challenges, but I promise I'll fill your life with more love and joy than you can imagine.
