That lovable, gorgeous lady is named Elvira! Elvira is a mellow, relaxed and well behaved angel with so much love to give. She’s wonderful with children, and a very affectionate girl, we think she would make a wonderful family dog!
Elvira weighs in at a lap sized 62 pounds, she’s estimated to be 2 years old. We think she’s an American Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Terrier mix, but she is a rescue so these are just our best guesses!

Elvira is a dream with other dogs, playful, tolerant and sweet. Elvira has a wonderfully bouncy playstyle that always gets the other dogs playing! She’s a very inclusive player and she makes an effort to involve every dog. She is respectful if they decline to play, but it’s very sweet to watch her bounce around the yard, making sure every pup is included in the pawty!
With humans, Elvira is naturally loving. She warms up instantly, and melts into your touch. She’s gentle and sweet with everyone she meets, kids included! She’s spent time with large groups of elementary schoolers and she’s been perfect.
Here at the rescue, Elvira was cat tested and passed with flying colors! She is cat-tolerant and could live with dog savvy kitties, making her perfect for any animal lover’s home.
Elvira is so well behaved and obedient. She does well on the leash, and bonds with her people through walks. She auto-sits for treats and toys. She’s a total dream! Elvira is medium energy, too, so a few walks or some outdoor playtime are all you’ll need to keep this happy girl healthy.
Elvira could do well in just about any animal lover’s home, she would love to be a family dog and a friend to your kids! She’s a perfect candidate for an adventure dog with wonderful social skills and great leash manners, take her to the park, concerts or events and watch her steal hearts! We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!
The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
