- Fun, smart youngster with a lot of energy and enthusiasm but also good focus when he's feeling motivated
- Really loves people and will hop right into your lap and lay there while you pet him; can't get enough affection and human contact
- Curious and nosy - loves to sniff around and be part of the action; would enjoy activities that will exercise his busy body and mind
- Knows sit and down and may know more; very food-motivated and would probably be a lot of fun to train
- Interested in toys, and once he settles into a home we think he'll love playing with them
- A little bouncy when he's seeking attention, but that will likely resolve with training and time to decompress in a home; can also be a bit chaotic on a leash right now, so please plan on taking time to work with him on that as well
- May do best in a more mature home
- Has a linebacker-type play style with other dogs and sometimes can be awkward in his interactions; may be a bit much for some dogs but could be a lot of fun for others (dog intro recommended)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
