Hello, I am Pink Lady! And I’m even sweeter than the apple I’m named after. I am a 2-year-old heeler/pittie mix and weigh about 45 pounds. Along with my striking beauty I also have a wonderful disposition; I am gentle, loving, and soft spoken. I recently made it to Utah from New Mexico and with this short coat that I’m sporting it’s freezing!
Everybody who meets me raves about what a wonderful dog I am! I am FULLY housebroken, and crate trained. I know I belong on the couch cuddling with people, so I don’t love staying in my crate, but I can be crated if you want me to be. Sometimes I let out the softest whine in my crate but not for long. I do love to chew on a good bone, but I am not destructive and am trustworthy enough to have free reign of the house. I’m a girl that does not like to disappoint anyone, and I am very sensitive to being in trouble. If anyone even slightly raises their voice, then I slink off and put myself in time out in my crate. I don’t have an aversion to men like a lot of other dogs, but I do best with slow introductions with anyone new that I meet. I am not the type of dog who is going to run up and jump on you. Not only am I very submissive to people but I am also submissive to all the dogs I have met in my foster home; I do get bouncy sometimes and seem like I want to play but I am still just a little bit hesitant, I wouldn’t want to annoy any of them and have them be mad at me.
My foster mom says I could probably be good with kids and cats, although I haven’t met any in my foster home. I am unequivocally devoted to my people and would not be welcoming to any of their unwanted visitors. My “scary” bark (which I use only when appropriate) is a nice comfort to have around. I take treats so gently out of people’s hands, and I love my afternoon walks! I get so excited when I see the leash come out, my full body waggles and my tail doesn’t stop until we get home. I walk well on a leash; I may just need a little fine tuning here and there, but I am quite responsive to the person walking me. When my foster parents walk me past crazy, loud barking dogs (big and small) I don’t react to them and would just prefer to walk away from them and their drama. I occasionally run into chickens on my walks too, and when I am close to them I look at them a little intensely but when I hear my foster mom say “no” I make eye contact with her and wag my tail extra hard and keep walking. After my walk I like to nap and be lazy, I am not a dog that requires a ton of stimulation and exercise, just enough to keep me healthy. An ideal home for me would be one that lets me on the bed and couch to snuggle, it makes me so happy. I could be happy living with other sweet dogs or be happy as an only dog, to soak up all the love and kisses that I can get!
It's cuffing season! Can I be the apple of your eye and bundle up next to you all winter? Apply to meet me today @ https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication
