My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m a confident, happy-go-lucky, and fun loving buff boy! Life is for living and finding fun things to play with. I was pulled from a high kill shelter along with all of my siblings, and thank goodness Smittens Rescue took me in otherwise I could have been euthanized. I’ve always been the healthiest and fattest of the bunch. I get along with cats, people, and so far have been untested with dogs but I’d probably do well with slow introduction. When my fosters clean the room, I am the BEST helper and love chasing after the broom and rolling around the clumps of debris. I’m excited to find a fun home and can’t wait to be your buddy!

Please note, we only adopt young kittens in pairs, unless you already have a young playful cat at home for them to grow up with.

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
