I’m a sweet, playful girl looking for my forever home! I was pulled from a high kill shelter along with all of my siblings, and thank goodness Smittens Rescue took me in otherwise I could have been euthanized. I was the runt of the litter when I was younger and my first foster called me “Runty Girl.” I am no longer the runt and I am active and healthy! I LOVE big cats and cuddling with them. In my foster room, there is a big foster cat I love to hang out with when I start getting tired. I’m the perfect balance of cuddly and playful - I can wrestle with my siblings, and then when I’m tired I’ll look for you or a big cat to chill with. Like my sister, you also have to cover your drinks when I’m around! I might take a secret slurp because I don’t like being left out of the fun, but I don’t know it’s not good for me. I get along with cats, people, and so far have been untested with dogs but I’d probably do well with slow introduction. Can I be a part of your family?
Please note, we only adopt young kittens in pairs, unless you already have a young playful cat at home for them to grow up with.

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
