I’m a bowling ball! I’ve got a TON of energy and love playing and wrestling with my siblings - even with big cats! I was pulled from a high kill shelter along with all of my siblings, and thank goodness Smittens Rescue took me in otherwise I could have been euthanized. When I was young I struggled a bit and was very smol, but my fosters didn’t give up on me and now I’m one of the biggest of the bunch. I’ve got a wonky eye which needs a little tending to, and that’s why my fosters nicknamed me “Winky.” But that doesn’t slow me down at all! I’m confident and brave and get along with other cats (dog untested, but would probably do ok with slow introduction). I’m super social and would also probably be great with kids too. Oh yeah, and cover your coffee when I’m around, I like to take a slurp when you’re not looking. It’s not good for me but I don’t care because I think I’m invincible. I can’t wait to go to my forever home and make friends with EVERYONE!
Please note, we only adopt young kittens in pairs, unless you already have a young playful cat at home for them to grow up with.

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
