I’m a little cutie with a huuuuge belly! I was pulled from a high kill shelter along with all of my siblings, and thank goodness Smittens Rescue took me in otherwise I could have been euthanized. I struggled a lot when I was younger - I was so smol and my foster parents didn’t know if I would make it. But with a lot of patience, being held by them when I ate and given special priority during feeding time, I was able to slowly gain weight. Now look at me! I am a little sweetie and I LOVE big cats! The other foster cat with us is super big and I look up to him adoringly. Energy wise I’m not as fast as my other siblings, but that means I might be a more mellow guy when I grow up. I love playing with all of my siblings and I’ll wrestle with them too, but when play becomes too much I’ll happily play by myself or find my favorite big cat to chill with. I get along with cats, people, and so far have been untested with dogs but I’d probably do well with slow introduction. I’d love to find my forever home and be your buddy!
Please note, we only adopt young kittens in pairs, unless you already have a young playful cat at home for them to grow up with.

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
