Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I have the potential to be an easy-going, gentle cat once I warm up to my people. I will need a VERY patient cat-savvy adopter who can read cat-body language and give me time to blossom into my true personality.
I should start in a large crate at first, then graduate to a small room and then gradually be given more access to the house as I start to get comfortable in my surroundings. My adopter needs to understand that it is unknown how long it will take me to adapt (possibly weeks to months) and I might never become a super social cat, but more of a roommate.
I will need a low-traffic, quiet home. See notes below about having a cat friend. I would be ideal for a gentle, quiet adopter looking to help out a cat, but one that has low expectations for who that cat is and what might become.
Compatibility: Dogs: No history - possibly with a mellow, cat-savvy dog Cats: YES! Ideally I should go to a home with a confident feline friend that I can bond with and help to show me the ropes. I am most likely going to be a `cat`s cat` vs a `people`s cat` Kids: Older - quiet, cat-savvy
Handouts that will be provided: Preparing Your Home for a New Cat, Cat Body Language, Body Language of Feline Anxiety, Litter box Mastery, Litter box Reintroduction
