From his foster- Rex is a sweet younger baby who loves to play and run around. He enjoys any toy you throw at him, and is always looking for someone to play with h. He behaves well, is potty trained, and is crate trained. He understands discipline and knows some basics commands. He is eager to learn more about his surrounds and loves to sniff around outside! He is not a huge fan of stairs, and does not like to go down them. But, he doesn’t mind being carried down! Rex enjoys the outdoors just as much as he loves relaxing inside. He is the perfect companion. He is fine around our small caged animals. We are not sure how he is around cats, but he does tend to show interest to the ones outside.

Their adoption process
Additional adoption info
Orange County Animal Services has hundreds of adoptable pets at any given time. We operate on a first come, first serve basis to give everyone an equal opportunity.
We strive to place every pet in a furever home, which is why the first step of adoption from our shelter is coming to our location and interacting with the pet of your choice. Adoption applications can be filled out at our shelter once interaction has taken place and are not available online.
Once your application is approved, we will ask for payment of the adoption fee.
Standard adoption fees are $55 for dogs and $40 for cats. Ferrets are $40 to adopt. Pocket pets like rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters are $15 to adopt.
We ask interested adopters to please come prepared with photo identification.
We welcome adopters from out of county and state, but do not transport animals. Interaction is still required as part of the adoption process.
