Hi! Billy here! I am a dapper guy that was brought to the shelter through no fault of my own. After a search for my original owners with no luck, I am now up for adoption and looking for my new family! I am definitely a people dog and love attention! I do need to learn how to properly show that though - I can get jumpy and mouthy when I get overwhelmed. Some training classes to learn manners and how to appropriately play would definitely be beneficial for me! One thing is for sure about me, and that's that whatever home I go to, I need to have a job to do! Maybe a farm dog? Or a family that frequently hikes? I love to use my nose and take in all the sights and smells I can! When I don't use my mind enough, that's when I start to get bored, jumping and chewing on things I shouldn't. I have my fair share of energy and will pull on a leash when I am excited, but I also show my calm side that just wants all the love and affection I can get! The dogs here do get me pretty overwhelmed at times, so I would prefer to be the one and only pup in your life. I promise though that I will be worth it! I would love to be your best pal! All I ask in return is for you to not give up on me like others have in the past. Think I may be a good fit for you? Come visit me at the shelter and find out for yourself! Primary Color: Brown Weight: 63.4 Age: 1yrs 4mths 0wks

HSSC places animals on a first come, first serve basis. After an animal that is available for adoption has been met with, the animal’s name can be put on an application. Animals that are applied for must be adopted the same day or within 24 hours of the animal being placed on the adoption application. Exceptions will be made if any animal needs a medical procedure, but then will need to be adopted within 24 hours of being cleared from that procedure. HSSC reserves the right to accommodate alternate timelines for special needs/behavioral issue animals.
It is the potential adopter's responsibility to communicate with their landlord to contact HSSC for approval or to provide documentation stating permission within 24 hours of application submission.
It is also the potential adopter's responsibility to produce a current rabies certificate for their current dog(s) to conduct a dog to dog meet and greet within 24 hours of application submission.
Please call shelter for adoption pricing.
