My name is Katoosha!

Katoosha was abandoned as a puppy and we rescued her from the streets of Sao Paulo, Brazil, where we lived until moving to Miami, FL last year. She is estimated to be 4 years old. She is a wonderful, healthy and loving dog, but can be a bit shy around strangers.

While here in the US we rescued a second dog, named Benjamin. The two dogs get along well. However, Benjamin recently got really sick with autoimmune spinal meningitis. As part of his treatment, for the rest of his life Benjamin will be under strong immune system suppressants, making him very susceptible to infections. This means that we can't let Katoosha near Benjamin anymore. In fact, Benjamin is no longer able to go to daycare, play with other dogs, etc. He also requires constant and very expensive care. That is the reason why, with heavy hearts, we've decided to put Katoosha up for adoption.

Katoosha is the sweetest dog. She loves to cuddle and attention. We hope to find her a wonderful new family!
