My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.

I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some feline body language together!

Daisy Drew is a conflicted cat that needs extra time to adjust to her frequently changing environment. She tolerates brief attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Due to the behavior shown, she may not be a great fit for young children. Any home with older children prepared to adopt this cat should conduct a thorough interaction and endeavor to monitor this cat around their children to prevent these behaviors from being reinforced.

A volunteer writes: Daisy Drew is young lady who wears a coat of mostly white with charming black patches. She has bright, alert, slightly wild eyes; a lot of energy; and a big appetite for food and play. Daisy tends to dart her paw through her condo bars to get a visitor's attention, which can be startling. She can play roughly so should live in a home without small children. And a staffer reports that she only likes petting while she's eating. She loves the laser pointer and is a huge fan of the cat dancer. She also very much enjoys a treat. Daisy would probably like to be matched with a person whose personality is as lively as her own.
