What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Rehoming needed for AKC registered Labrador retriever female, not spayed, 11 months old. Bday 12/10/2023. (Pedigree available both mom and dad). Shots UPD. On monthly Simparica trio. We purchased her at 7 weeks old from a breeder and planned to train her as a service dog. She has been unable to pass the temperament testing. She is also not a good candidate as a duck dog because, per trainer, she doesn't have a high enough retrieve drive. She would, however, make a great dog for fun sports such as agility or dock diving or a hiking family due to her high energy. She loves the water. She needs work on her in-home manners and temperament. She does not like being indoors for long and does not like hugs and pets (unless she comes to you to request it) so not suitable for a home with young children at this time. This may be due to age or just her genetics. We must rehome her due to landlord agreement to allow for another service dog prospect.
