My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bronco, a 3-year-old Chihuahua mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. His previous owner described him as loving, playful, and a total cuddle bug. Bronco has lived with kids as young as 10 and has done well with them, making him a great companion for families with older children.

True to his Chihuahua nature, Bronco is a little "pretend protector" once he settles in-barking at strangers to sound tough, but secretly just waiting to make new friends. After a bit of barking and sizing you up, he quickly warms up and is ready to be your buddy.

If you're looking for a playful little guy who loves to snuggle and might make you laugh with his attempts to be a guard dog, Bronco might just be your perfect match!

If you're ready to adopt now and want to learn more about, meet, or adopt this pet, you can start the process in one of two ways:

Come on in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30-3:00! For in-shelter pets (not in foster care) coming in ASAP is the fastest way to adopt.

**the below two methods are slower than visiting us**
Call us (413-781-4000 x 1) or email us (springfield@dakinhumane.org) for more information about a pet. We are often on the line with another client, but we return voice mail and emails within 24 hours.

All adult dog adoption fees include;
-spay/neuter
-rabies and kennel cough vaccinations
- heartworm test
-current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian)
-microchip implanted & registered to adopter
-treatment of fleas & ticks
-veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin
-free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians
Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
