Shy Guy is super cuddly! He likes to be pet anywhere, even on his belly. He is a relatively shy cat around new people, so don't be surprised if he hides whenever guests come over. He does great with children and is very gentle! I've never seen him swat or bite ever. I would certainly describe him as the perfect cat for a single-cat household.
The reason I've listed behavioral issues is due to the fact that if he is put in a high-stress scenario (i.e; fighting with another cat is our scenario) he will begin to pee out of nervousness. He has been checked out by a vet and cleared of any urinary problems, and it is completely behavioral. This is why I suggest a calm environment/single-cat environment. He does not urinate outside the litter otherwise!
I genuinely myself would keep him, but our female cat does not get along well with him in the short time we've had him (9 months) and it's created animosity. We don't want him locked up either as that is no way for a pet to live.
